Conditions of Agreement

1. INSURANCE

a) The caravan/boat owner undertakes, at his/her own expense to insure and keep insured the caravan/boat with a member of the Association of British Insurers against loss or damage by Fire, Storm, Theft, Flood and liability of not less than £1m to third parties and such other risks. Penelewey Caravan and Boat Storage Ltd always advise you to have your own insurance.

b) The caravan/boat owner shall not do or suffer to permit to be done any act or thing which shall or may render any increased or extra premiums payable for the store owners third party insurance or which may make void or voidability any policy of such insurance.

c) To indemnify the store owner and keep the store owner indemnified from and against all actions proceedings and claims by third parties in respect of any loss or damage or liability caused by or arising out of any wilful neglect or default of the caravan owner and an other person authorised by the caravan owner.

2. LIABILITY

a) The store owner will take all reasonable precautions to protect the caravan/boat from loss or damage while in storage but shall not be liable for loss or damage which occurs except as the result of a breach of an obligation on his part.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES

a) The caravan/boat owner shall be responsible for properly securing the caravan as provided for by the manufacturer, and to immobilise the caravan/boat against theft by use of any or all proprietary anti-theft measures.

b) The caravan/boat owner shall not use or permit the caravan to be used for human habitation or use any gas appliance in the caravan while the caravan is in storage.

c) No explosive or other inflammable substance or material may remain in the caravan/boat whilst the caravan/boat is in storage, with the exception that up to a maximum of two gas cylinders of a propriety brand and suitable for us with the caravan may be left, disconnected, inside the caravan over the storage period. Should any such substances or materials be discovered, they may be disposed of as the store owner feels fit, and the caravan owner shall not be entitled to any compensation resulting from this action.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES (continued)

d) Payment of all charges incurred in the storage of the caravan/boat is removed from the store and the store owner retains a lien on the caravan/boat for any unpaid accounts. Non-payments of fees will result in legal action.

e) Please inform Penelewey Storage Ltd when you intend to remove the caravan/boat so that the fob deposit of £50 can be retuned to the caravan/boat owner and the fob returned to Penelewey Storage Ltd.

f) Failure to inform Penelewey Storage Ltd of your departure will come with the full months fee unless you provide notice before the 15th of the month leaving.

g) An identification mark is needed on all boats and caravans, a registration number or name on a trailer.

h) Please drive slowly into and out of the store, during the summer especially there are young children and our pets that may be on the drive.

i) It is the responsibility of owners to keep their boats/caravans in a suitable condition, boats must be kept on trailers and in a safe condition. Caravans and boats must be kept in a clean and road worthy condition.

j) The caravan/boat must not be used for any other storage needs. It is not permitted by Penelewey Storage Ltd for caravans to be used as containers.

k) Please only occupy the space allocated to you by Penelewey Storage Ltd. Should you wish to move please contact Penelewey Storage Ltd.

4. ACCESS TO WATER AND ELECTRICITY

a) All boat/caravan owners are able to access water and electricity for a charge of £2 for 15 minutes, located outside of the boat store gates. Please leave this area as you find it, any cost incurred to the store owners due to neglect or damage will be passed on to the caravan/boat owners.
